I’m sure Mr. Allison shares the same feelings along with the rest of us older people about the state of the business.borderboy653659200 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 01, 2019 11:06 amOldies 84,the ninety-year-old Bob Allison still has a radio gig . I remember "Friendly" Bob Allison from his WWJ days in the mid-60's. I'd love to talk to him about his opinion of today's radio industry,as I'm sure ol' Bobby has seen such in his 65 or so years on the air.

Miss Crystal surely would have a bigger audience on any of the aforementioned stations and probably a few others, too!Oldies 84 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 01, 2019 12:13 pmMaybe someone at Mix 92.3 or Kiss FM 105.9 or Even Hot 107.5 WGPR should look this Crystal Mayo up and perhaps give her a try for a Sunday Morning Retro Show, I think she’s worth it.Art Van Damme wrote: ↑Fri Feb 01, 2019 10:42 amSima Birach doesn’t “give” time slots away. It’s pay to play. He doesn’t provide any marketing of programming or station. Marketing of any type is the choice of the purchaser of the air time. They pay for it.Oldies 84 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 31, 2019 7:55 pmWNZK needs to give Crystal the entire morning show 6-10 time slot, It would be good for Miss Mayo and WNZK, They need to market her show, They could get a small amount of ad revenue. Crystal is a musically talented personality. And Innate you have brought Crystal up before, So we’re on the right track in saying this is a decent program and a talented individual.
Bob Allison has had a portion of that daypart purchased for decades.

stopnswop,"Bowling For Dollars" was hosted by Bob Allison in the late 60's and there was a sub host called Chuck "Buck" Walby. Those are not ramblings by Cowboy or anyone else .

You might be confusing nicknames. Bob Allison's on-air persona certainly always was/is, friendly.borderboy653659200 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 01, 2019 11:06 am...I remember "Friendly" Bob Allison from his WWJ days in the mid-60's. ...
There was also heavy advertising in that era for radio listeners to call "Friendly Bob Adams ®," the fictional front for moneylender HFC, Household Finance Company.
