Songs You Haven't Heard In Years
Songs You Haven't Heard In Years
I haven't actually listened to this track in probably decades. I was thinking about how people were calling me at the phone number at the beginning, 488-3857, because of an old exchange where you could just dial 5 numbers and the call went through, and they omitted one of the numbers. It happened probably a half dozen times. I answered and an voice said, "Is my baby there", and I said, "yes, you're at the corner of Love's Street and Fool's Road", "and one other thing, you've got the wrong number". I told someone and they said I should have said "your baby's my baby now". But they didn't call after that, and I didn't want some maniac CBer type to track me down anyway. I thought about it when I saw a phone number on a social media profile, an area code and 867-5309. Chalk this up with the other songs with phone numbers in them that weren't 555/KLondike 5. And yes, this actually happened to me. I was just lucky that they had to call within the same 7 number exchange, and omit the correct number. Otherwise, I would have had to change my number.

"ME TV Radio" also plays songs that did not hit the Billboard Top 40. That station also plays album tracks from the 70's decade.
Re: Songs You Haven't Heard In Years
I cannot listen to WGVU AM 1480/850 when I am working on something that requires concentration. They continue to play songs I have not heard for a long time. I always have to stop and listen.
Re: Songs You Haven't Heard In Years
I have ten songs that I have cherished over the years, all of these I played over the air in my radio days, chime in if your familiar with these titles,
1. “Bare Trees” by Fleetwood Mac 1972
2.”Fresh Air” by Quicksilver Messenger Service 1970
3.”Baby’s On Fire” by Brian Eno 1973
4.”Keep it Warm” by Flo & Eddie 1976
5.”Hypnotized” by Fleetwood Mac 1973
6.”Run, Run, Run” by Jojo Gunn 1972
7.” Thunder and Lightning” by Chi Coltrane 1972
8.”Nature’s Way” by Spirit 1970
9.”Loan Me A Dime” by Boz Scaggs 1969
10.”Nantucket Sleighride” by Mountain 1971
That’s my 10 songs I haven’t heard on the Radio for a very long time. One more for good measure,
“Ridgetop” by Jesse Colin Young from the Youngblood’s that was released in 1973, I could go on until my Wife starts collecting her Social Security but that won’t happen for another 14 years.

“Soul Coaxing” by Raymond LeFevre 1968. It wasn't until 30 seconds into this song that I finally realized it was an instrumental
"Magic Town” by The Vogues 1966. Another great song I'd forgotten about.

"Chi" Coltrane, from way far out Chicago/Milwaukee Suburban Racine, WI, where a Renaissance is now occurring surrounding the new Foxconn Plant. People are leaving Chicago and Illinois in droves, and hitting the State Line.

"Colorado" - Danny Holien
Haven't heard it on ANY radio since I first heard it -- once -- in the '70s. YouTube is great!

Re: Songs You Haven't Heard In Years
I was trying to locate the artist of that tune, I always for some reason thought It was Stephen Stills Don’t ask me why, but I was in High School when that was out and remembered hearing it on W4 around ‘71, Thanks for the Info.
