Radio.com playlists down?

Post by stopnswop2 » Fri Nov 30, 2018 6:01 pm

For some reason on the Radio.com app and website, for the past 3 days, i'm unable to see the lists of recently played songs or even the current song playing for every single station that exists.

Is this just on my end or is it actually down?

(I know this is the wrong forum section, but I wasn't sure which one to post it in, but this is the one I frequent)

You are correct. I checked two that I monitor, 98.7 The Breeze and 101.1 WCBS. Both didn’t have current song or last 10 played.

It's been a month and still they are down for every station.
Anyone know what's up with it?

These media companies like to tout their alleged digital prowess, yet they cannot even handle something as simple as playlist data!

I don't know why any advertiser would want to spend money on digital advertising with these people.

They're afraid that some Mom and Pop in the UP will steal their playlist and format. More likely the other way around.

There are no secrets in radio. It's right out there over the air to be analyzed.

If there was a decent format from a neighboring market you could hear OTA, they'd put a translator on it to block it out.

But of course, they hate the "Russians".

The last three or four times I've listened to 98.7 in the car, the RDS readout has simply read "WDZH-FM."

No station brand name. No song & artist info. What a mess!!
