WUDL Channel 19

Post by tvbobn » Sun Jun 04, 2017 3:57 pm

I'm not in Detroit, but a friend of mine has ask me a Detroit question.

Is WUDL-CD channel 19 on the air or off?

He was able to watch it, but now it seems to be gone. Are any of you Detroit area antenna watchers able to get channel 19?

It was off the air a couple days ago. Earlier in the week, it was on the air with all 7 streams running.

Will try again later today and will report back.

It's on the air, and it's WUDL-LD, not WUDL-CD
One time, I got WYZZ Peoria 330 miles away indoors clearly for 10 minutes on Dec 5, 2015

Channel 19 is on the air but they are broadcasting at such a low power most views cannot tune it in. If I direct my outdoor, amplified antenna at the right spot I can get an unstable signal strength of about 19/100.

Where are you at? Because in Melvindale, with an unamplified indoor antenna, I can get it at a level of 65%

I'm in Sterling Heights. Supposedly WUDL is on the same tower as WHNE in Oak Park. I get WHNE at around 70 but WUDL is nearly impossible for me to pick up with changing the position of the antenna.

I think WUDL is on WLPC's tower

WUDL-LD is on the 8 Mile/Meyers Road ATC tower along with WHNE, WWJ-TV, WMYD, WTVS, WUDT. et al.
WLPC-CD is at the Cadillac Square building in Downtown Detroit.
