Re: 98.7 Song Requests
Its not that they are swapping them out, whoever is programming the station is scheduling said songs to only play a certain amount of times per week it seems.
I don't like that though. There is no need to be repeating a large number of songs every 4 or 5 hours. They need to have a bigger playlist to have enough songs so that every song plays at least once a day and only once a day, save for a select few that do sound good more than once, but space those out more.
I heard "hello" by Lionel Richie play twice in less than 2 hours once, and 15 min. After it played the second time, "Say You, Say Me" came on.
That's just really silly.
Do you or anyone else on here know who exactly is programming the station right now?
I have a feeling it's Tim based on a few of the songs.
I'm hoping it's not though because the way it's being done is silly, such as having the same song by multiple artists.
Like The Fugee's version of "Killing Me Softly". That needs ditched.
Another example is "Drift Away". There is no need to have Uncle Kracker's version too.

Do you Einsteins REALLY think a station is going to base its' playlists on a bunch of armchair PD's on a message board???? REALLY??? It would be great if the station had this massive playlist, but come on...it ain't happening.

Re: 98.7 Song Requests
They already have added a lot of our suggestions, so...what were you saying again ?
Music is my life.
Re: 98.7 Song Requests
I agree with you Willie, all of these Music and Program Director wannabe’s make me laugh, guaranteed that no one from the station even cares, all decisions are made on a corporate level in a New York office, So people keep dreaming.

Then stop commenting in this thread. You are WAY to old to be trolling online. Please be mature. We have adults I'm here.
Stop flooding this thread with nonsense.
Do we really have to make a new one just to get your off topic trolling out of the way ?
And no, the station is locally programmed. I mean obviously they are reading this, and I personally know people at the building that regularly read the forum.
Heck, Roberts regularly used my song suggestions I gave him for WOMC.
If it's him programming the Breeze, why would he not want to listen to me and us on here ?
Again, stop confusing Entercom with iHeart.

Re: 98.7 Song Requests
You better get a bag of cough drops, you might be getting a cold that’s the only thing being detected here, now I’m not a doctor nor do I play one on TV. Hahahahaha.
Re: 98.7 Song Requests
I can call up a request line to, also as a matter of fact anyone can, so what is really your point? The people at any radio station don’t have the time to sit a read a message board that’s not for the station, and besides don’t you think they would put song suggestions on the station website to get real feedback did you ever think of that? If they want real feedback they will ask for it via the website and a lot of stations do.stopnswop2 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 21, 2018 9:56 amThen stop commenting in this thread. Re: 98.7 Song Requests
1. "This Roberts Guy" is Tim Roberts.
2. Request lines are no longer for requests, as disc jockey's do not pick the songs they play.
Do you know anything ?

Re: 98.7 Song Requests
Back on topic, in the middle of Kev's nonsense, someone suggested "I'll Remember" by Madonna, and I suggested "But It's Alright" by Huey Lewis and The News

Re: 98.7 Song Requests
That’s funny 104.3 always takes my requests, As long as it’s on the Buzzboard they will play it, just keep saying that to yourself and eventually you will start believing it.stopnswop2 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 21, 2018 4:36 pm1. "This Roberts Guy" is Tim Roberts.

Re: 98.7 Song Requests
Why is there 8...count them...8 threads on this station when it's nothing more than a format change???
