Did CFCO when it was Oldies sound better musically then CKWW or was it an even comparison?

CFCO. At that time, CKWW was “580 Memories” playing big bands and standards. For pop and rock oldies during that time, CFCO wins.

I recall the Rock format battle between CKLW, WKNR, WXYZ and WJBK in the 60's.
When I was 17 I brought the first FM radio into our house, It was a three tube Granco Tuner that I listened to with some qulaity crystal earphones I rescued from my high school language lab, (trashed because of a broken plug)
I then discovered the WJBK FM signal had much better audio quality than the other stations, and I was hooked on FM Rock :D

I had a WJBK Survey from Hudson's in Northland in 1964. It showed both the AM and FM 1500 and 93.1 frequencies. Of course, it didn't survive the next Spring Cleaning. Had a WILS Survey from Hatfield's (yup, Hatfield's had some out of town surveys) with both 1320 and 101.7 shown. Met the same fate.

Is THAT where they got the idea for the 486-SX?

Same (x, y, z), different (t)
