Even if Beto comes up a bit short, he will have run a remarkable campaign.

Let's not forget demographics in major Texas cities have shifted. Plenty of white collar millenials have relocated there from other states. That, and you have a big chunk of the population of Mexican descent. And I'll be honest, even a good chunk of Republicans there aren't terribly enthusiastic for Cruz. George W. Bush, for example, is a much different Republican than Cruz.

Glad to see Mitchell won.

Not officially called, but it looks like Florida will go (R) both governor and Senate.

Also sure looking like the House will go to the dems.

In a lot of the Senate pickups for Republicans, Kavanaugh is being cited as a big contributor.

The House doesn't have a say in the matter of Supreme Court nominees, which I think is one reason the Dems are performing so much better there.

4 more Democratic pickups:

Sharice Davis over Kevin Yoder in Kansas.
Chrissy Houlahan over Greg MacCauley in Pennsylvania.
Max Rose over Dan Donovan in New York.
Dean Phillips over Erik Paulsen in Minnesota.

As for Kavanaugh... these are pickups in Trump states... it’s not like it’s Hawaii or anything... the map always sucked for Democrats and absent Kavanaugh it would not have been much different I suspect...
