A place to go for those of you who wish to discuss happenings in OH, IN, IL, WI, and Ontario. OSU sucks, by the way.

97.7fm in Bowling Green

Unread post by Deleted User 14990 »

I was down in Bowling Green yesterday and I came across a new LP station on 97.7fm, the programming sounded really familiar to this one LP I heard in Marietta Ohio recently. Turns out it's the same network, 3 Angels Broadcasting, which is a Seven Day Adventist organization. They were discussing, if a Christmas Tree is a pagan symbol.

I looked on there site and they have a good share of stations, many LP's or Translators but some full power. WAVC 93.9 in Mio MI is part of it(which used to be a simulcast of The Zone, then country I think) and that's like a 50k signal.

When did 97.7fm come on the air?

Not at all new. WWOC-LP, 97.7 has been around a long while, since the 00's at least, broadcasting 3ABN. It's in the 7th day Adventist Church on Summit and Lehman. All automated.

Weird that they would have two LPFM's so close together on the same frequency, as Springfield High School's oldies station is also on 97.7 in Holland, Ohio in Lucas County, and has one of the best 100W LPFM signals that I've ever heard.

Sandusky also has a 97.7 too.

When they mentioned a vegetarian lunch and attending Church on Saturday morning, that was a dead giveaway.

I was thinking the same thing, about how they had to LPFM's so close.

In Grand Rapids, there are two LPFMs on 92.3 within 10-15 miles of each other!
