Why did Clear Channel bother to change the 'City Of License" for WCKY to Pemberville, when according to their filing, they have no intention of moving their tower away from Tiffin?

Also, what's up, or not up with WPFX these days?

WCKY's is kind of a lost cause IMO, I mean there never gonna catch K-100 and they dont even come close, I mean arnt they like a 1.7 share or something in Toledo? Pemberville's not that far from Toledo, So why not just Simulcast 1370am WSPD?

107.7, where to even begin??? Heres an idea! Cumulus should lease the station and simulcast The Zone!

WCKY was "moved" to Pemberville to be considered a Toledo station, since that town is in the market. That's the only real reason I can think of.

No clue as to what is happening with WPFX.

ok radio geeks....the WPFX-FM tower, which is being newly constructed, is supposed to be just NE of the BG airport, on the east side of I-75. so its like north of the airport, and south of the Haskins-Luckey 582 exit. if its being built, you should be able to see it easily from I-75. :smokin

Probably the same reason why WCEN changed their COL from Mount Pleasant to Hemlock, even though the tower remains in Coleman. Perception is reality.

WCKY IDs as Pemberville/Toledo, so that pretty much sums it up. I can't remember if they mentioned Toledo in the ID while licensed to Tiffin. Not a country music fan.

If WPFX comes back, their ID will be Luckey/Toledo. I'm sure the owner could have some fun with that one.
