98.5/940am The Legend

A place to go for those of you who wish to discuss happenings in OH, IN, IL, WI, and Ontario. OSU sucks, by the way.

98.5/940am The Legend

This station is out of LIma Ohio, I heard them not too long ago when I was down that way. A lot of the older good country music, not the newer stuff which I find awful. Heard George Strait, John Cash, Merle Haggard, and a few others. Didn't hear one bad song for the most part.

It's a voice track station. 106.7 out of Hicksville in runs a same program. Several stations us this. They record local liners. Has a good music mix.

I've heard 106.7 as well. Music selection is solid on both stations.

Local Radio Networks, I believe, is the provider. I often get 106.7 WFGA clashing with WLLZ during tropo openings. It sounds great.

Love this station!!... When passing through Lima I always turn on 940 am and Yes on the AM side, I know I'm a dork. Lol
940 gets out fairly well, able to receive just outside of Columbus, north of Dayton and almost to Toledo until interference from WWJ starts to take over.

I'd suggest iHeart get's rid of "Kenny Rogers' Gambler" format on 1230 and WCWA goes back to music with the same format as 940 Lima. Denny Moon could always make the station sound sweet with proper audio processing, so that would be a nice change. Heck with the ratings Q105 gets these days, that could be a strange combo?

I wouldn't mind a 60s-early 70s oldies format on 1230am. That would be nice.

Yeah, except for the part where nobody's listened to music on AM in 40 years and the audience for 60s-early 70s music is literally dying off.

I'd agree but then it would be preempted with Hens and Walleye games and all the brokered shows during the weekend.
