1st: Michigan Radio will acquire 90.3fm WOTL , will join The Michigan Radio Network with WUOM,WFUM, and WVGR .Cumulus Broadcasting donates 1470am Toledo to Family radio.

2nd- 1230am will get a Translator, maybe 104.1.

4th- 106.5 will remain at a 1 share

5th- 1055 will tweak again

6th- 98.3 Monroe Will revert to AC, Nash Icon could move to 100.7

My comments:
(1st: Michigan Radio will acquire 90.3fm WOTL)- if/when Family radio sells, but they bought a big stick in NYC, so it doesn't sound like they're cutting back.
(Cumulus Broadcasting donates 1470am Toledo to Family radio) - don't think Cumulus can even do that- they had all of a couple days to figure-out what to do, and they dropped their station license for 1470 onto the FCC's desk; I don't think Cumulus can get it back.

(2nd- 1230am will get a Translator, maybe 104.1) Yes, but it could actually be on 100.3 MHz, believe it or not?

(3rd- 100.7 drops talk...back to rock) - can't do that until they fulfill all their contractual agreements with Mr. Debt-Free and their other syndicated shows, so it could be longer than a year.
(or Nash Icon moves from 98.3.) - Not likely as Cumulus would lose their Monroe advertisers on the 100.7 signal not reaching that area very well.

(4th- 106.5 will remain at a 1 share) - since they'll probably never get the Tiger games, they'll be happy to get a 1.5 share.

(5th- 1055 will tweak again) - Yep, Andy's "play-toy" until Mrs. Reader's Digest tells Andy he has to start breaking-even on the 105.5 frequency, then Denny and Friends could be out by the end of 2017?

(6th- 98.3 Monroe Will revert to AC) -Hmm, actually the 1983 version of Tower 98 was pretty decent- if it was capable of being a "listen at work station" that would have some merit as 'The River' isn't really the go to station for at work anymore (except in December) and even 93.5 has crossed over to playing a handful of songs too uptempo for the dentist office , so Tower98 could fit that bill if Atlanta/NY allows WMIM to dump Nash ICON or put it on K-100 HD-2.

(7th- 106.1 WAKT-LP will not make it to air) Have faith young Jedi- I talked to a board member last Sunday and the tower relocation has been the monkey wrench. They'll be playing Christmas music in 2017.

That's my guesses; who knows; maybe Trump will nationalize all broadcast stations for his Empire when he is crowned in January? I tell the NRA folks don't worry about your 2nd Amendment rights, worry about your 1st Amendment rights- no freedom of speech looks to be his mantra; how I'm wrong.

Not that it has anything to do with predictions, but in A2 where I live, I regularly pick up 92.5, 99.9 and 104.7. They're all bonuses to me, as I get Detroit, Lansing, Jackson and Lenawee County stations as well. 98.3 is hit or miss. As is 105.5.

107.3 WJUC will rise to the #1 station in the region.

The box that many broadcasters won’t look outside of was made in 1969 and hasn’t changed significantly since.

Andy Stewart finally gets FIRED and Cumulus sells there Toledo cluster. K LOVE demands Ihate to give back there translator, so they can find someone that will put it to better use.

Speaking of the translator situation, SPDy on 92.9 is okay, but KLove is using the disputed 92.1 frequency and pissing off some fans of the BAS station that makes a living on 92.1 as it makes it into here fairly well- before KLove flipped it back on that is (and even SPDy had to abandon 92.1 because you had both stations fighting at the Oregon, Ohio location.) Don't know why KLove is using it when it was an interference issue before, so unless they directed their signal farther westward, not happy people in Eastern Lucas County.

Didn't iHeartless move their 92.9 translator from somewhere else in the state up here? Did they outright buy it, or is it a lease job of one of EMF/K-Love's 2000 translators? AFWIW, their audio bandwidth is better on AM1520 than it is on their horrible sounding FM translator.

So, all your predictions were wrong Mr. Guru. "Barley" is right in your case, in addition to hops, rice and water.

Owned! Seriously though, I don't see anything major right now but lets recap thus far.

4. Although 106.5 did have a briefly hit a 2 share for the first time in years, there back down in the ratings cellar below a 1. You could almost just put The Ticket on a Translator signal and get the same result.

7. WAKT still hasn't made it on the air and I suspect they wont.

I will say 2. still might happen.

I predict that the listeners in the Toledo market will die of boredom this summer in regards to radio excitement or improvement.
When the best thing going on is 100Watt 97.7 on autopilot from Springfield HS, things are bad in T-Town.
