...and why did he spell his son's name Conor and not Connor? Come on Clapton.
Because the name "Connor" is an Irish name, and is properly spelled as "Conor".
Americans added the entra N

Not sure why you are making jokes about someone's dead kid, but I'm pretty sure you made no joke and just don't want to look dumb.

So you look dumb either way.
And I'm not your brah, but thanks

You must not listen to the podcast, Brah. The Conor thing is a running joke.

Borderboy? I thought it was spelled "handsomebradybreaker" or "cowboy"

You're a nutjob. Why don't you go sort through some of your newspapers from the 80's?

Last I saw, Clapton was an old broken man in a wheelchair. It was a great run but it was really a reputation built on rumor. (Clapton really wasn't God.) There are countless players with better chops but Clapton was bland and generic - perfect for radio.

I don't think he's in a wheelchair. He's touring. Granted, he might be sitting on stage in a Rascal for all I know.

Clapton was quite the asshole back in the day (might still be). But you're right. He's perfect for dental offices.

Do they still play Joe Cocker? He was a big presence on there for years.
Dave Mason?
Was surprised to hear them still playing Steve Miller recently. Thats an artist i didnt think had a lot of generational crossover.
I dont listen enough to know. Every time i turn it on its Whitesname, AC/DC, and Frees "All Right Now". I dont listen long enough to see what token artists are hidden in between.

There was great fire in his playing with Derek and the Dominos. I think that's because he'd never before played with another guitarist as good as Duane Allman (and hasn't done so since). He knew Skydog would mop the floor with him if he didn't bring everything he had whenever they played together.

A favorite Clapton moment of mine came during "The Last Waltz". The Band starts into the classic Bobby Bland number, "Further on up the Road". Clapton takes the first solo and does a very Clapton-like job on it. Robbie Robertson -- a major asshole in his own right -- takes the second solo and all but blows Slowhand off the stage. He finishes the solo with this beautiful, high, ringing note while simultaneously shooting Clapton a "siddown, Limey, this one belongs to me" look.
