Has she ever been a music jock?

Her entire time in Detroit - I believe - was spent doing mornings.

Big time hire for Rock 105/95.5, but I'm guessing she will be doing her shift remotely (just as Jay Roberts does).
C'mon iHeartRadio - do the RIGHT thing for once! Please cancel "Rover's Morning Glory" from WBFX in Grand Rapids.

Cartman also does his show remotely from Green Bay. He also tracks a few stations in Wisconsin, too.

I wonder who's programming Rock 105 these days.

I remember back when it was all local programming from 6 am - 6 pm as Classic Rock "Gold-FM" back in the 90s... Don't remember where the overnight programming came from.

Now that's high tech, but wonder why the man uses carts?

Great hire, but why would she live in Detroit when she could live in a nice place?

I hope she figures out that NMi isn't Detroit or they won't have many advertisers.

You must be unfamiliar with her on-air work to even make such a remark. She is far from being a "potty mouth," if that's what you are asserting. If anything, her on-air demeanor is closer to what a listener would expect to hear on a classic rock or AAA station than a hard rock station.

The bigger question to me is if she can credibly talk about bands whose music she's seldom if ever played on-air in unfiltered form. Her time at WCSX was spent playing the likes of Bob Seger, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Foreigner and the Eagles, not the artists 105.1/95.5 features (Volbeat, Korn, Metallica, Disturbed, Linkin Park, etc.)

And, of course, Drew & Mike at WRIF - where she was the third wheel - was 100% talk.

Would not at all surprise me if she also winds up voicetracking a daily shift for The Bear.

By the way, it is Jay Roberts who broadcasts from Wisconsin. I am quite certain Cartman is local.

Right now, The Bear's website lists NASCAR Steve as the afternoon host, though Del's been on afternoons since Smitty's dismissal. I wonder if there's something going on there given that their website's jock page hasn't been updated while Rock 105/95-5's has.

MW: Cartman is in Green Bay, WI. Has been for quite awhile now. Well over a year.

I stand corrected; thanks for the info. I had no idea he was working in that market.

Does this mean 105.1/95.5 has not even a single on-air staffer anymore who can meet & greet listeners on a regular basis? Are they going to send some obscure intern to station remotes?

The last time I was at a local event where they were, that is indeed what they did.

NASCAR Steve I think is the sole local jock on that station, and he's only on Saturdays.

So both Cartman and Jay Roberts broadcast from WI?

Listened today while in their broadcast area - Trudi is DEFINITELY voice tracked. Sound levels when she talks are off - and definitely at a lower volume...

I don't listen to Rock 105...not because of the jocks but because I am not into that nu-metal or whatever its called.
