If Sinclair somehow pulls this off, I have a bad feeling about how the remote freelancers will be paid, what kind of pay cut can they expect?

Sinclair seems to need to double mortgage the farm to buy things these days. I think that's going to be a major consideration.
Then there's the possibility teams could not renew with a new owner and go with their own network, like the idea that's been tossed around in Detroit, or go with a new entry like a Comcast or Spectrum.

At the end of the day the Fox RSNs could be an empty shell.

Lets take a look IF sinclair wins the former fox sports regional networks, just what they wind up with in total:
Already they have Stadium Sports Network,Tennis Channel, lets also add to the mix ..the Sinclair/Chicago Cubs owned Marquee Sports Network [starts in 2020] ,the Yankees Entertainment and Sports Network [Yankees bought it back along with Sinclair and Amazon as partners] not bad ..not good either but still I'm hoping John Malone and Tom Gores' platinum group get in a last minute bid

As someone who spends significant time travelling, I am a bit anxious to see what they will do with the streaming. I do like to be able to watch the Fox Sports app wherever I may be.

If Sinclair get them, I bet the cliche' "dollars to donuts" that they will put them all on their STIRR website

The political leanings of the parent company is neither here nor there in a sports channel. In sports coverage, Fox and NBC is a leader and innovator in how it's done. Sinclair is a notorious cost and corner cutter. If they are producing the games, watch for massive roll backs in the number cameras and will try and bring in less experienced, cheaper cameramen and other technicians to produce the games, all to do it a lot cheaper.

Sports should not be political, but with NBC you have Costas and Olberman who have mad many political comments, while working in their sports roles.

Whatever company wins, I hope they make some major changes to the Tigers games. Craig Monroe adds nothing and should be the first one gone.

Wellllll...y'all dont have to worry about comcast buying the former fox sports regional networks, because they couldnt anyway, same reason as Disney has to sell them "regulatory and anti-trust concerns".

If Sinclair wins, there will be changes all right, none will be for the better.

Where is this from?
Comcast has taken itself out of the bidding for months and DOJ argued this month that buyers should not be excluded.

I disagree about Sinclair being a "horrible, cheap company." They certainly are not cheap, as they infused considerable money into WEYI up in Flint and consistently deliver quality newscasts in Kalamazoo (WWMT) and Traverse City (WPBN).

Even their duopoly in Dayton puts out a decent product these days, despite always distantly lagging channel 2 (WDTN) and channel 7 (WHIO) in the ratings.

I smell a widespread roll out of Sinclair's "Stadium" brand approaching.
