Since you asked...

5) Green Day "Kerplunk" (1991)
4) Rush "Power Windows" (1985)
3) John Mellencamp "The Lonesome Jubilee" (1987)
2) Van Halen "5150" (1986)
1) Alice Cooper "From the Inside" (1978)

The top five have been static for over a decade. I've created a list of 100 of my top albums. I'm a music nerd. Can't help it.

Wow! Someone on this board has some musical taste, I thought I was the only one, I do drive my old lady nuts for my love of Zeppelin but she’s a Rock’n Roller as well she’s more into the Stones. I’m totally into music I have one room in the house devoted to music sort of my man cave, all records and recording equipment and stereo gear you name it, all stuff I accumulated from my broadcasting days. I was in Radio 1976- 1998 and left Radio to open a family business in the food industry, and now just simply retired and the Wife is still running the business she’s a hell of a lot younger than me so it will be a few years before She retires.

Top 5 favorites? I'm assuming we're talking in the pop/rock realm with a limit of one LP per artist.

In no particular order:
Thick as a Brick - Jethro Tull
Exotic Birds and Fruit - Procol Harum
Word of Mouth - The Kinks
Beggar's Banquet - Rolling Stones
The Twelve Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus - Spirit

You mean there’s more of us cool, great selection, I love Procol Harum, What do you think of Robin Trower? Spirit definitely great stuff.

Never cared much for Trower's group after his leaving Harum, but who can argue with his subsequent success? I bought myself a Procol Harum t-shirt for Christmas this year with the Salty Dog logo. I've been wanting one for years! :D

Honorable mention:
Making Movies - Dire Straits

You didn’t care for “Bridge Of Sighs” I personally thought it kicked ass.

I thought Trower's gruff sounding guitar was a good earthy foil for Procol Harum's interplay of keyboards. Fronting his own band, he became a Hendrix-like virtuoso, a hint of which can be heard on Harum's "Song for a Dreamer" on Broken Barricades. He left the group soon after. I just never connected to the sound.

Did you ever get into Mountain? Now my personal favorite from them is the LP “Nantucket Sleighride”
Leslie West and Felix Peperlardi those dudes rocked.

Day of the Eagle into Bridge of Sighs is a great segue. I think I still have Caravan to Midnight downstairs.
