Bummed about DUKE going down. Personally I wish there were more stations like that cater to listeners who prefer that over the new country.

I know a lot of people in the Lansing area prefer to listen to either WBCT or WCEN when traveling in the region.

Looks like most everyone went down with the exception of WMMQ and WQTX.

That's a big drop for Wittle though! Where did those people go? Apparently not over to Duke.

Depends on where you are. Both stations have decent coverage in suburban and rural areas around Lansing, but not so great in urban areas with all the buildings to bounce off of. I'd be interested to know if there was a geographic change in sampling this time around.
Happy ADVENT!

WKAR tied WITL 12+ but I don't see WKAR (WUOM dropped a share) as the where the WITL listeners went to...There has to be something else.

Such a H***, inexplicable drop for WITL. With the sudden jump for WKAR-FM, I'm inclined to believe that Cal might be on to something.

I know. That's why I think you might be on to something as far as the location of the diaries.

WITL comes in great everywhere, so I doubt geographic distribution is to blame. Perhaps the sample size overall was pitifully small (even by Nielsen standards) ?

I've gotta say - Midwest's Lansing cluster is LAME. DUKE is a low budget jukebox. When my radio is tuned to WLMI, my car speakers reek of old people's stink. Why does their audio chain sound so flimsy??? There is almost zero bass & mid-level response. 92.1 is being held back by a schizophrenic programming schedule. Q106 needs to turn over some of its library titles; some of their 80's and 90's titles are burnt to a crisp.

I bet a lot of people in the Greater Lansing area listen to non-commercial stations, Pandora and Sirius XM often.

I wonder how the MacDonald stations fared? I've noticed tweaks at 101.7 Mike FM in recent months. Power 96.5 always pulls respectable numbers for a 6 kW signal emanating from Clinton County.

AM 1240 WJIM is gradually fading into irrelevance. I bet 760 WJR drew a larger AQH share in Lansing.
89X = the Kmart of Detroit / Windsor radio.
