It surprises me that a Triple A Format Like WXRT or even Ann Arbor’s 107 One gets so much negative post on here considering there are some many liberals on this site one would think this format would win hands down.
Those damn liberals, why can't they just listen to the same thing as everyone else? Always wanting something different.

How does one categorize or fall into AAA?
I thought it was largely singer-songwriter, heavily acoustic. It just sounds like a vaguely worded format so how much subgenre variety should such a station play?
While I dig select tracks, I always called it the "too hip for the room" format. Works WELL in Ann Arbor and Ferndale.
I used to listen to 107.1 at lunch in a Subway restaurant near the UM North Campus where I was surrounded by mostly students. It fit right in with that atmosphere. But when I'd tune in on the way home from work, with other listening choices, it was less appealing.
I get what you're saying. Gotta be "in the mood" for something like that.

That said, some Subway sounds good right now.

Jeff - take your meds. There have been very few negative posts about XRT or 107 One on the Buzzboard; the vast majority of posts regarding these two stations (especially the latter) have been positive.

Now, now...we GOTTA make sure we get that potshot in at "the liberals" in any and all threads. GOTTA make it political somehow...
