Can't have. It both ways Lester. It is maintained that the campaign wasn't being spied on, but certain individuals were. If individuals attached to the campaign were thought to be involved with Russian operatives, the FBI had a duty to inform the campaign.

Just like they informed the DNC about hacking and Diane FrankenFienstien about her hired help.
Not asking for it both ways. With the DNC, the crime was clearly perpetrated against them. (I don't know enough about Feinstein to address it). In the Trump case, the FBI had no way of knowing how far up the ladder the malfeasance was, thus the investigation.

My statement still holds. Why on earth would the FBI compromise an investigation by informing the principle of the organization being looked at that THEY ARE BEING LOOKED AT?????? If you want to call that spying, have at it. Makes as much sense as setting up an surveillance van in front of a drug lord's house with "IThe FBI" bumper stickers on it.

But you said they got a FISA warrant renewed three fucking times in bold and italics for Carter Page. That would indicate that Page was the target and not the campaign, unless of course, you are trying to have it both ways like Bryce suggested.

Let's say we're talking about a school here, and there was a teacher that law enforcement was looking into for complaints of child molestation, would it not be there duty to inform the principal/district of the investigation if there was credible evidence? It certainly would not be appropriate to use the child molestation accusation to spy on the principal or superintendent.

What's more pathetic: harassing an old man who is paying to do a radio show or supporting a grifter like Trump?

How convenient. I'll fill you in. Feinstein's own words on this matter:
Five years ago the FBI informed me it had concerns that an administrative member of my California staff was potentially being sought out by the Chinese government to provide information. He was not a mole or a spy, but someone who a foreign intelligence service thought it could recruit.

The FBI reviewed the matter, shared its concerns with me and the employee immediately left my office.
https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/feins ... inese-spy/

Now while Snopes underplays the comparison between this and the Trump investigation, I would point you to a Time article from February 2018 which states the following:
October 2016: The FBI and the Justice Department obtain a FISA warrant to monitor Page’s communications after convincing a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court judge that there is probable cause to believe Page is acting as an agent of a foreign power, namely Russia. It is renewed three times, as required by statute every 90 days.
http://time.com/5128614/carter-page-gop ... a-warrant/

So to be crystal clear, the target of the FISA warrant was Carter Page, not "the principle of the organization" and the probable cause was based on the belief that Page was acting as an agent of Russia. Nothing here suggesting that Trump or anyone in his campaign knew this or was using Page to communicate with Russia. Under those circumstances, Trump absolutely should have been notified by the FBI immediately that Page was being monitored.

Unless, they wanted to use this as a reason to, monitor, conduct surveillance, or SPY on the entire campaign,

New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

This is all you folks on the right do these days... play the victim and plot 50 ways everybody is out get you... this is getting quite old...

The FBI wouldn’t tell Trump because they were trying to ascertain what Page was up to vis a vis the Russians and the campaign... telling Trump would undermine that effort because he would have tipped off Page and the Russians... nobody believes for 10 seconds that Trump can keep something like that to himself...

Now what specific policy ideas do you folks have that didn’t start with a complaint, reaction or victimization you perceived against you?

I’ll wait...

LOL at you accusing the RIGHT of this. The policy platform of the Democrat party of the past 20 years is built on the back of the grievance industry. Every person in every minority group you can think of is a victim of something.

Trumps entire platform is built on Christians, whites, “The American people” etc being victims of China and “the left” (Tm) and illegal aliens... it’s all built on enraging the base against whatever “other” they come up with next...

At least the Democrats are putting forth solid proposals... the Right is putting out “look what “The Left” did now!” and “they are out to silence conservatives” and “Christianity is under assault” and any one of a dozen variations of this same bullshit....

But at least there is something to the sleaze that The Donald represents... the conspiracy theories and other crap keeping the ill informed rural and older folks hooked has no substance to speak of... its just made up to keep them hooked by an elite that cares not a whit about them or their issues and only wants more tax cuts... endless tax cuts... the more the merrier... economic health and the well being of the population at large including the folks voting them in be damned.. “what do we want? Tax Cuts! When do we want them? Every chance we get!”... that’s the rights entire point of existence in a handy chant...

Maybe NS is referring to the Green New Deal - the plan to, in just 10 years, "meet[] 100 percent of the power demand in the United States through clean, renewable, and zero-emission energy sources."

Let the implications of that sink in for a minute. The complete elimination of the use of fossil fuels in just 10 years.

https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-con ... n/109/text

This bill has quite a few co-sponsors.

And as a goal that’s not a bad thing... the entire bill is an outline... it’s not even a full proposal... and yet Conservatives (well actually a think tank) made up a $93 Trillion number despite all of the unknowns and the fact that it’s an outline.... that makes a lot of sense...

But at least that has people talking ideas... they aren’t talking about how “x has wronged me today, I know because Trump tweeted it so...”

You want part of the discussion? By all means. But don’t come to the table with a bunch of No! Socialism! Communism! Marxism! Illegal aliens are harming us! Christianity is under attack! America is lost! and the list goes on. Those are not substantive policy planks or discussion starters... it’s just a bunch of whining...
