Detroit313,
How do you feel about "No One Else On Earth (Club Mix)" by Wynonna Judd for The Breeze ?
Have any non country stations ever touched this song?

This made the AC charts.
It was played AC stations in the early 90s, and then the club mix got heavy play for a little while when it was released in 97

Babyface - When Can I See You
Madonna - Live to Tell
Paul Young - Oh Girl
Fleetwood Mac - Gypsy
Madonna - Borderline
Bad English - When I See You Smile
Daughtry - Home

So they replaced the Chi-Lites version for Paul Young's?
Wtf.

Also they decided to replace Roxette's "Listen To Your Heart" with the abomination cover by DHT.

Why???

I'm still waiting for "Back For Good" by Take That.
(Hot 100: #7, AC: #2, Adult Top 40: #1) (stayed on the AC charts for 66 weeks, and 30 weeks on the Mainstream Top 40 charts)
😒
And how about "Winds Of Change" by the Scorpions?
And these 2:

-"Adia" by Sarah McLachlan
(Hot 100: #3, AC: #5, AT40: #6)

-"Fading Like A Flower (Every Time You Leave)" by Roxette
(Hot 100: #2, AC: #5)

And why the hell is "She Drives Me Crazy" by Fine Young Cannibals not in yet?
(I don't really care that WOMC plays it. No longer a valid excuse)

And now let me talk about Rick Astley.
Now about swapping out "Never Gonna Give You Up" and putting in "Together Forever" ?

I'll end this post with John Mellencamp, "Jack and Diane"

So I'm laying in bed here and apparently it's movie soundtrack marathon time LOL.

"A Whole New World" by Peabo Bryson from 'Aladdin'
Then right after was
"My Heart Will Go On" by miss Celine Dion from 'Titanic'
Then 2 songs later was
"You'll Be In My Heart" by Phil Collins from 'Tarzan'

First time I've heard any of the movie themes in the playlist back to back.

I swear, that song better be in the new live action Aladdin remake. (Won't be the same without Robin though :( )
Anyone know the release date btw?

They play Rude by Magic, Like I'm Gonna Lose You by Meghan Trainor and Big Girls Don't Cry by Fergie way too much.

I don't want to hear any of those, period.

The Meghan Trainor song is fine though. It's needed tbh. Tests really well

Another song that needs to be in here is "The River Of Dreams" by Billy Joel.
(Hot 100: #3, AC: #1, Mainstream Top 40: #2)

Can't have an AC station without this song.

Also, for about 3 weeks in December they were playing "Follow You Follow Me" by Genesis.
That needs to come back.

I want my Jackson Browne favorite back too, which was playing for about a month and a half.
"Tender Is The Night"

That Genesis song is a damn good one; completely agree with you on that.

I'm just old enough to remember hearing "River of Dreams" on the radio. WGRD in Grand Rapids used to play it a LOT during their Hot AC phase in the very early 90's. I agree it would be a decent choice for 98.7. That's a song that should only be played once in a while, though. I view it as one where burn could set in quickly if overplayed.

I second that. While I'm more into the progressive rock side of Genesis, Follow You Follow Me is still a great ballad by the band. There's something to enjoy from all of their eras, IMO.

In December, 98.7 was playing You and Me, by Alice Cooper; and Stand Tall, by Burton Cummings...two awesome songs that fit the format. I wish that they’d re-add them.

The Button Cummings tune played the other night for the first time in 2 months.

No Alice Cooper yet though.

The songs from the old playlist are coming back slowly though. Hopefully it will play soon.

Here is a song that I feel is the most important one out of any other song that needs to be added to the playlist:

"Something About The Way You Look Tonight" by Elton John.

Released in 1997, it spent 14 weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. It also spent 10 weeks at number one on the Adult Contemporary Chart.
That isn't the impressive part though. It is the ONLY single in history to ever be certified Diamond in the United States, selling over 11 million copies.

Now I want to talk about The Eagles and Fleetwood Mac.
At launch, these were the top 2 most played artists on the station. Now they are the least played artist. Why???
Heck, all the press releases for the station's format change all mentioned Fleetwood Mac.

EDIT:
Oh. It looks like Ian read my other post, lol.
Jack and Diane just played finally.
A little before 4 am, today Friday march 8
