TV Personalities Moving To Radio
Re: TV Personalities Moving To Radio
Yes, It’s still around KKNX AM 840 they started Oldies in 1996 and to my knowledge they are still doing Oldies.
Just recently an ex CKLW jock Ted Richards is doing 3am-6am PST that’s according to the KKNX website, I don’t know anyone over there because it’s been over 22 years, But I think you can listen to the station on the internet, And I don’t know Ted either but I did listen to him on The Big 8 when I was a teenager.

Something that has been overlooked previously, people need to make a living. My experience is most TV talent started in radio.
Re: TV Personalities Moving To Radio
This is true but I had alot of personal circumstances that changed the whole dynamics of my life.

Oldies 84,move here to Windsor (or any other Canadian city) and your wallet wouldn't be emptied by the Big Pharma crooks,as we have -HORRORS!!!!!!socialized medicine . (Remember the now-imprisoned "Pharma Bro," Martin Shrekeli ?)
Re: TV Personalities Moving To Radio
My Wife is from Windsor she lived on Woodlawn near Devonshire Mall and I’m very familiar with Canada, My Wife is known as a Canasian, She’s Korean and Canadian, And has Dual Citizenship for The U.S. and Canada.
So I have spent alot of time in Windsor, What part are you from?

These people you hear on 98.7 "filling in" aren't just filling in. Many of these are trial runs.
TV people going to radio: y'all forgot about Guy Gordon!
That's an awesome resume, Oldies 84. 93XRT perseveres, and quite frankly posted some incredibly strong ratings in 2018!
Portland and Seattle were both terrific AM radio markets back in the day - especially Seattle. KIRO, KJR, KVI, KOMO and more. Seattle remains a great FM market. Portland - not so much.

Morgan Wallen is a piece of garbage.
Re: TV Personalities Moving To Radio
You know I’ve been in many markets in my years, But there’s nothing like my home Detroit, This is still one of the Best Radio Markets Past and Present, This town has always been known for its talent in Radio and Television as well. When I was in Chicago WXRT was one of my Favorite Stations to work at the people there were great. And I think the Biggest time at XRT was “The Chicago’s Finest Rock” Days there was a ton of Competition in The Windy City at that time.
