Just so sad, a permanent solution to a temporary problem. It's got to be tough for them to carry on this morning on TV 2.
RIP Jess

This is just horrible news.

I send my most sincere condolences to everyone at Fox 2.

very sad when these things happen. I am not a Fox news watcher so it doesn't really "hit home" for me like it would for a regular viewer.

Hard to believe when she has a hubby and kids and seems so bright-eyed; how sad, if only people would call 211 in this situation :(

I was totally surprised by this. I always liked her, she seemed genuinely nice and down-to-earth, which I think in morning TV parlance would be “relatable.” I don’t get to watch morning news that much, so I didn’t know she was struggling with recovery from lasik. How awful for her children, family, and friends. I think it’s good that Fox 2 came out and said what happened, and did not just say she died suddenly. Maybe it will help someone.

Wow, that article describes some of what she’d been apparently dealing with. How awful.

As someone who is dealing with some personal issues including depression, Ill say that there has almost been a stigma attached. Youre afraid what people will think. Or that people will either be scared around you or avoid you due to discomfort. For some people, its hard to come to terms with and accept.
A lot of people can't understand what drives people to the point of suicide. Thankfully for them, they are not in a position to. I see stories like this and feel bad. And I wonder when we finally get to the point where we no longer are afraid or ashamed to speak up and get help.

Judging by how upset the folks on air this morning were about it she apparently had lots of people who would have helped her... the problem with depression and suicide (been there before medication) is that it’s pretty irrational in reality despite how real it seems to the person at the time... nobody is actually that alone... the disease won’t allow you to realize it though. It’s sort of the ultimate embodiment of perception is reality...
