You’re the only one.

I could care less about the Self Serving Local Emmy awards. Teleprompter readers patting each other on the back. The only thing more nauseating, are the Hollywood Clowns.

I’ve searched this buzzboard for intelligent life and have finally found it!

One of the news directors was bragging about how difficult his job is. “Working long hours.” Not sure how they stretch more than 60 minutes out of an hour but okay. He said being nominated for a local Emmy makes is all worth it.

Kids, have more aspiring aspirations or you’ll end up like this, chasing your tail, then celebrating when you catch it and no one else is watching.

Tremendous progress!

Any time I correct someone’s spelling or grammar, I get called names like a juvenile, issused death threats, and people here try to get me silenced.

Now, this response is civil. We need more like this. Those who correct care.

HL101: The topic is about local stations winning Emmy Awards. Not everything is about you. My two year old has more focus than you do. #not-winning

There are many reasons why you are #not-winning. Ignorance is the main reason. It’s not my fault. I hope your two year old gets A LOT of outside help if you want them to escape the cycle of ignorance.

I should congratulate your attempt at intelligent social interaction. Taking time away from lighting your own flatulence should be encouraged.

One of these years, some recent college graduate from down south is going to win an Emmy for their report on the proper way to shovel snow after the first snowfall of the year. I so look forward to these reports each year, and it's high time these reports get the credit they deserve.

Pretty much.

Viewers have no say in this. It’s a money-making racket, and you're all falling for it. See the “Who’s Who” scam for reference.

First, you pay for a membership, or pay an higher inflated price if you aren’t a member. Then you pay to submit something for “consideration.” Then unpaid, disgruntled people from another station select a “winner,” which entails selecting the first candidate since it’s the only thing separating them from free pizza. Then you pay to go to an overpriced dinner. Then you make a cheesy speech like your dreams fighting for you. What does that even mean?

So let’s review. All “winners” and losers are out a bunch of money. The “winners” aren’t being evaluated on any real standard. Then “winners” brag about it while the losers say “maybe next year.”

Wash, rinse, pay, repeat.

I saw a Facebook post on a regional Emmy awards show recently. It looked like it was held at someone’s garage. Talk about cheap! You’d think this money-making racket would spend a few pennies it swindles out of unsuspecting, ignorant TV people.
