Hopefully, WNEM received permission from WJRT, but the Flint Town Hall Meeting featured a little surprise on the sub-channel's coverage.

ABC12 might be the one to have some explaining to do. At UM-Flint's choosing, ABC12 was designated to provide a pool feed of the town hall meeting for use by other media outlets. By definition, pool feeds are supposed to be "clean," void of any embedded graphics, commercial content, network/local anchors, etc. Much to the surprise of anyone accepting UM-Flint's offer to take their town hall feed for web streaming and/or on air use, Matt & Angie suddenly appeared just after the start of the feed and then, again, at the end. Had the roles been reversed and a competing station's talent appeared on their station or social media, they'd be screaming bloody murder today.
