I loved watching his weather reports in the 90s and early 00s. He used to show 3D maps of upper air patterns, and he was probably the first meteorologist in the country to regularly offer 7 day or even 10 day forecasts. He did not shy away, either, from forecasting strong storms, heat waves or arctic blasts in the latter portion of his extended forecasts.
