Anybody home at 1680
Does anybody from this operation actually ever listen to their own radio stations. 1680 has had nothing but dead air for at least a couple of weeks now. This is not the first time this has happened with 1680. Their translator at 102.5 is still on the air with modulation. Is it legal for the translator to be on the air when the AM is nothing but dead air?????????????

Nope and not for quite awhile.

Re: Anybody home at 1680
I actually wonder who would listen to rap music on AM radio anyways. The translator is obviously the only asset here. My radio buddy tells me how AM radio stations across the country are handing in their licences every day. Nobody is listening and no one is buying Ads. My opinion would be to file with FCC to run at 250 wats and save on the power bill. To stay legal the AM must be transmittng to keep the translator.
