Goodrich looks to transfer WPRR FM 90.1 to Tyrone Bynum
Goodrich looks to transfer WPRR FM 90.1 to Tyrone Bynum
So this only applies to WPRR FM 90.1, Clyde Township. There have been no transfer papers filed with the FCC in regards to WPRR AM & W273DD, both of which are owned by Goodrich Radio, LLC. WPRR, Inc owns 90.1.

I am not super sure that I read that properly, but, there's a line about no financial transactions taking place... they're giving up the license essentially free?

Why would anyone want it? Even in the best of times, it seemed to be off the air more than on. It's coverage is basically just the rural blueberry fields of NW Allegan county. The signal can reach into south Holland, but that is fringe.

C'mon - any station with city grade signal in Hamilton should be a cash machine!

I didn't look at the coverage map until you said it...holy crap. I mean, it might make a better community station for Allegan than anything else... give it to the High School? lolJason Kragt wrote: ↑Wed Nov 11, 2020 9:12 pmWhy would anyone want it? That station probably has 10 listeners...on a windy day tops.

Same topic--with new FCC filings today.
The WPRR AM 1680 and associated Translator W273DD FM 102.5 existing authorizations are the subject of an Assignment from Goodrich Radio to Ghettothropic, LLC (owned 51% by Tyrone Bynum and 49% Portia Bynum). Link: https://enterpriseefiling.fcc.gov/datae ... 0&goBack=N
The WPRR-FM 90.1 has a Transfer of Control filed noting that the intent is to revise the ownership of the existing entity WPRR, INC. from currently being 100% controlled by Robert Goodrich to instead being 33.3% each for the subsequent three Directors: Robert Goodrich, Tyrone Bynum, and Portia Bynum. I've worked within a few miles of WPRR-FM's tower for the last three years and I don't think I've ever heard it on

I dated a good dutch girl from a Hamilton farm. They used mason jars as water glasses. Not exactly the cash cow mecca.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Thu Nov 12, 2020 4:27 pmC'mon - any station with city grade signal in Hamilton should be a cash machine!

I really don't know what's going on with this operation, but 1680 has not been on the air for at least a couple of months now. The translator at 102.5 is still on the air with a mono signal. In this day and age, I can't fathom an FM music station not playing their music in stereo. When 1680 was still on the air, they ran separate programming from the 102.5 translator, which I believe would have been a violation since 102.5 isn't supposed to have any originating programming. Not following the rules or regulations seems to be modus operandi for this operation.

FYI:
MAB (Michigan Association of Broadcasters) posted this news item regarding the intended transaction as one of their Friday articles:

Really not much more said than what can be read in the applications.
Cheers!
