Ron Cameron interviewed Keith Gave about Gave's clandestine forays to Russia to help smuggle out the Russian Five.Gave said at times he felt endangered by the Russian military which was charged with halting defectors to North America .

I thought this came out several years ago. I also saw a redundant version on an ESPN 20 for 20.

The ones you’re talking about are closely related but not the same. While the Russian Five focuses on the Red Wing players from the 90’s, the 30 for 30 and Red Army focuses on the players of the Soviet National team of the 80’s. The two players in common are Fetisov and Larionov.
