iHeart Closes Down B-93's Barnyard...

Post by Trophyhead » Thu Jun 22, 2017 7:17 pm

Which means native GR broadcaster "Broadway" is out at 92.5 in Hartford, CT. Seeing this on social media and the station's website takes you to his former partner, Cory, in their on-air time slot.

Of course, many of you remember Bill from his night work on what was WSNX, he was running boards for Clear Channel in the '90s.

Not much to be said about this situation that hasn't been already offered. Hope his talents and connections put him back on the air soon.

Interesting move, it's my understanding that Broadway had been doing his CT show from West Michigan for some time now (not sure if it was from home or the actual GR building).

Even with the loss of his morning show in Hartford you'd think B93 would like to hold on to their heritage talent. At this point only Conrad had a longer running relationship with the B93 audience.

Personally I would have moved the Barnyard to mornings, Matt & Alice haven't been able to maintain Neal & Reese's numbers and clearly don't have their connection to listeners. That and the softest bash crowd in the last 20 years doesn't bode well for WBCT.

Just more casualties in a sinking ship! Who is next? Could the station be programed from TX?

The question isn't "if", but "when".

He was on an episode of "House Hunters" looking for a place here, and it said he commuted between CT and MI. Thank God CC was able to barely hold on to Ryan Seacrest, but Broadway's probably 50k a year salary had to be gobbled up. Wait a minute, you dont suppose...CC is canning pay for...Seacrest????

Eyes rolling.

Corporate Terrestrial Radio makes itself more and more irrelevant everyday. Good luck to Bill in the future. Find a local station (the few that are left) and do good radio there.

So lame. iFart sucks. GR cluster now sounds as bad as Toledo.

Pound for pound, WCSG is the best programmed station in GR right now, followed by WLAV.

The hideous electronic billboards in each end zone make Spartan Stadium look like a corny Arena Football League venue!
