Roop just said James Craig is suspended his campaign for Michigan's open U.S. Senate seat and is instead eyeing a possible run for Detroit mayor next year..

James Craig wasn't going to win the primary good luck to him hope he'll become mayor of Detroit it's slim & none since Craig isn't liberal and is conservative, I thought he was a good police chief for Detroit. Seems that Mike Rogers has flooded the airwaves already for the primary for US Senate on GOP side.

LOL! Craig has not demonstrated the capability of fielding a campaign for any elected office whatsoever thus far. Until that changes, I don't see why this pivot would be any different.

The intelligent move would have been starting out as a candidate for mayor and working your way up rather than down.
