"Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel, however, may have derailed the case by saying during a virtual event last month that the electors “legit believe” Trump won the election."

God damn she is dumb. Another botched high profile case likely coming. Can any of the political parties in this state elect an Attorney General candidate that isn't mentally retarded?

“These are people who have been brainwashed,” Nessel said, adding that the case would be tried in a county that is “very, very Democratic-leaning.”

Ok, these defendants are brainwashed in her mind. But she doesn't see the irony of promoting the fact that the trial would be held in a very Democrat leaning county is suggesting that the court would be brainwashed as well?

If you read what I posted earlier in this thread, you'd see that I attributed the 2018 election to Trump's midterm election. Also, the next state election is 2026, not 2024, and Nessel is term-limited.

Therein lies the issue - if the Republicans had elected anyone that had wasn't completely crazy, Nessel would have been in trouble in the last election. Tom Leonard instead of DePerno would have likely swung the seat over to the Republican side. Hell, any three of the top spots could have easily flipped if the Republican party in Michigan wasn't being run by straight up idiots. We are stuck with Nessel's incompetence, due in no small part to the incompetence of Republicans.
