WTVN Back To 5 kW DA-N?

The technical side of broadcasting. Think IBOC is a sham? Talk about it here! How about HDTV? Post DX reports here as well.

WTVN Back To 5 kW DA-N?

Post by CK-722 » Wed Jun 05, 2019 9:55 pm

I just returned from the Straits Area and WTVN was booming in up there at Night. I suspect that they have returned to 5 kW DA-N. Anyone else notice anything?

They filed to extend the STA a couple of months ago, because they were forced by zoning regulations to reapply for approval JUST TO ESSENTIALLY REBUILD THE SAME TOWER AT THE SAME LOCATION AT THE SAME HEIGHT! Is that government overreach or what?

Is THAT where they got the idea for the 486-SX?

The locals say there is no tower there yet. Don't know what I was hearing, but it was strong and seemed to be WTVN. Maybe it was WIP or whatever it is now.
