Evidently, the mock-up to which I was alluding was an A.I. generated fake from someone with no affiliation to the project in question.

I wasn't the only one fooled.

I think the sign looks absolutely stupid in the location it was placed, and I think the wide spacing between its letters also looks goofy.

I also am wondering why a teal color was chosen?

The clowns on channel 7 last evening had an over the top enthusiastic reaction to the new signage. If I didn't know any better, I'd swear their on-air talent works for the Mayor's office!

Kudos to the Detroit Free Press for offering an objective report on the matter, unlike channel 7's garbage reporting.

Have you viewed it from a car while driving by it? Thats what its designed for when visitors come from the airport driving by as it will appear much different than looking at it high and above from the surface street.
