Johnny In The Morning
Johnny In The Morning
Whatever happened to Johnny Edwards and his crew on 96.3? If memory serves me correctly, he came after Mikey Harrison and before Blaine Fowler, so that would be approximately 1996-2001….

He was replaced by Rocky Allen, who was replaced by Kevin O'Neill, who was replaced by Blaine Fowler.
2001 sounds about right as to when he left 96.3's airwaves.

DTE Energy paid $752 million in dividends to its shareholders last fiscal year. Remember that the next time they ask the MPSC to approve rate hikes.
Re: Johnny In The Morning
I forgot about Rocky’s “Showgram” - it was bad IMO; as well as Kevin, who was there briefly.
Kevin did sound great on 96.3.
Was Kevin with Spike and Sara on 96.3, or was it during his brief return to 95.5?

He was solo on 96.3.
Spike and Sarah never worked at 96.3. They arrived at 95.5 mere days before Mojo started (and after Steve Cochran was fired as morning host).

I rather liked Johnny and Zito. IIRC Johnny had a background in standup, and brought that to the show (with varying degrees of success).
Spike and Sarah I remember from their brief stint on the lamented (by me at least) The Edge 105.1.

Can’t stand Blaine….. it’s like sideways sanding against the grain

Didn’t Spike and Sara start at 105.1?MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2024 6:32 amHe was solo on 96.3.

Yes, they worked mornings at WXDG until it unceremoniously dumped the alternative rock format abruptly on an Easter Sunday.Lickalime wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 9:38 pmDidn’t Spike and Sara start at 105.1?MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2024 6:32 amHe was solo on 96.3.

I believe Spike had previously worked at 93.3 The Zone in Dallas before arriving in Detroit.
