Attention Weather Forecasters

Post by SolidGoldDancers » Thu Nov 16, 2023 8:47 am

You know who you are, the ones who think the viewers blame you for the weather.

Please stop that, it is dumb, even if done in a playful teasing sort of sense.

Thankfully you named names so we have an earthly clue which one you’re talking about without recording everything they’ve ever said to check later.

Forecasters get teased about the weather every day, from everyone they know to strangers that recognizes them. Common way for friends, family and co-workers to start a conversation. It doesn't bother them.
Life is not a dress rehearsal. This is it. There's no going back, and we can only go forward before we run out of runway.

Most of them, but the biggest offender is the Weather Mom on Channel 4.

That's fine for workplace humor, but saying "I know I'm gonna get blamed for this weekend's weather..." on the air is asinine.

I may of not done a good job expressing what I said before. Everyone teases forecasters about the weather. Not only at work, but family and friends. And complete strangers that recognize them in the Piggly Wiggly. It's the nature of the job.
