Our buddy Jim Hughes this morning said 96 was backed up from 96 to a road east (I can't remember offhand, maybe Wyoming?) How can 96 be backed up at itself? I'm assuming he means the express/local lane split, but you have to point that out, which Scott Ryan correctly did later on.

Somebody tell O’Neil Stevens US-23 between I-96 and Silver Lake Road is not in Washtenaw County. If you refuse to learn the area, at least read an online map correctly.

You think it's OK for traffic anchors to have no idea of the area they serve?

I keep hearing this new traffic reporter rumor, but all I actually hear is "Tina Marie" and the horrid Jim Hughes.

Tina Marie definitely does a better job than Hughes. I will say he has gotten a little better of late.

Kudos to O'Neil Stevens for at least mentioning the US 23 construction in the Whitmore Lake and Brighton area (even if he misidentified the county). WWJ can be very hit or miss when it comes to mentioning tie-ups near Brighton.

I failed to note weeks ago that some of the unusually soft 6+ numbers in prior survey periods corresponded to long bouts of WWJ broadcasting at reduced daytime power. Perhaps that came into play.

I believe you're referring to Michelle Pena. She started this week. Always found her delivery to be professional.

She’s been on WOMC for years.

Yes. Promoted to mornings on WWJ. But a veteran traffic anchor for Audacy. Very well liked internally too (as are all their traffic people). Afternoons has someone new too I believe. Cant remember her name.

Aricka McCauley is in afternoons. Specs graduate in 2011.. worked in Port Huron, Fort Wayne and bounced around the various stations in town with apparently much on air work at WOMC.
