What the hell is wrong with WOMC's audio???

It has been over modulated to hell for at least a couple weeks. I can actually hear very brief audio dropouts during aural peaks. The processing sounds heavily distorted.

Will Audacy's crack engineers ever fix this, or will they allow the station to continue to sound like shit?

It's actually been dropping out since November of last year.

It's gotten worse in recent weeks. The audio chain is dreadful. The levels are "crunk" too high.

89X hasn't existed for 3 years. Just sayin'.

WOMC's audio right now sounds horrendous. Among the worst I've ever heard. Tim Roberts should be embarrassed.

89X's audio tended to be too flimsy (plus transmitter output was flaky leading to inconsistent signal strength), not obsessively loud and over modulated.

Pure Garbage 89 still hasn't fixed its transmitter output issues.

WOMC has had historically horrific audio for decades. This year it's been mainly an obnoxiously loud muffled mess.
It got worse when they moved to Southfield. That's when the audio dropouts started.

They finally fixed it!

Audio quality has been OK both last night and this morning. No more "hiccups" and distortion due to overdriven gain is also gone.

Still not fond of their processing algorithm which lacks dynamic range but the audio definitely sounds better now than it has in many weeks.
