If I heard it right The 5am cohost referenced Renee vitale had a background going all the way back to WCXI AM (went dark as its own country identity, simulcast its FM partner audio until WDFN started in 1994) but from her LinkedIn shows she’s too young.

It was Pat Vitale, at WWJ, who worked in the 24 hour newsroom at WCXI 1130. I worked with Patty long ago, but I don't know if her and Renee are related. I am sure someone here knows.

Pat Vitale is an excellent news reporter and anchor who, in my opinion, has been underutilized by WWJ.
