Very entertaining time capsule. It's amazing, by today's comparative news show standards, how much real news they managed to cram into 22 minutes. Nothing like the drivel that passes for local news programming today.

The revamped mid-'70s lineup of channel 7 brings to mind my mother, a woman, alas, like her son, who was quite the creature of habit. Before channel 7 raided channels 2 & 4 for so much of its on-air talent, my mother was a religious viewer of the channel, saying she "liked the people." When channel 7 brought in John Kelly, Jac LeGoff & Marilyn Turner from channel 2 & Al Ackerman from channel 4, she continued to watch, still saying she "liked the people."

This was clearly before teleprompter technology as they all looked down frequently at the written script in front of them.
