Kim Adams on 4 broke in almost immediately. Kudos!

See-B.S. News Detroit is completely missing in action. Perhaps they need to rethink the no chief meteorologist policy. They do have the warning graphic on screen at least.

Fox 2 broke in around the same time as 7. Holy hell Stephanie Mead is HOT.

It rained hard a few miles south of Brighton an hour ago and is raining hard about five miles north of Brighton right now.

Remarkably, Brighton proper might miss out completely on the rain. The blob of heavy rain and storms just to your north and northwest is moving almost due east. Howell is getting a deluge.

Looks like Brighton might get in on some storm action after all. The blob near Howell has taken more of a southeastern turn on the past few radar frames.

A weak tornado touchdown did occur earlier this evening near Perry along or very close to I-69. Could see a clear condensation funnel and some airborne debris in some imagery at wnem.com.

Might've been a bit more than a weak tornado in Perry. Some decent info from WJRT.

Smartphone video footage recorded from quite a distance east of the storm shows what appears to be a fairly wide funnel.

Based on the description of damage in the ABC12 report, wouldn't surprise me if peak winds were near 100 mph.

Wayne County caught some heavier rain about 5 but nothing since.

No online streaming coverage from the tri-cities channels. 25 had something but the guy kept taking long pauses and just didn't have any charisma. People were ripping on the coverage for interrupting the Lions game. How was the on-air coverage? It was zip online. I did check out 7's app on Roku and they did have coverage so there was that.

NWS has confirmed an EF-1 in Shiawassee County… State of Emergency declared in Perry too.

95 mph peak winds. No visible damage at all from I-69 when I drove thru en route to GR earlier today.

Funnel width was 1/4 mile, which is fairly wide by Michigan tornado standards.
