Does 95.5 not go out to clubs on weekends anymore? I used to like that. I am so old now I don't even know if clubs are still a thing for 20 year olds :(

I try to listen to 95.5 from time to time so I can sorta stay up on what the kids are listening to. They do seem to play A LOT of the same shit from 25 years ago, which is weird. They should freshen it up at least and start offering nightcore versions of the classics.

My wife and I laugh at this song, but we do find ourselves singing it when it comes on when we're listening to music.
I don't know why, but I really dig some nightcore versions of some songs.
I listen to it while writing up consultations for leads. Lyrics make me mess up while typing, but for some reason nightcore doesn't do the same.

Literally this song was playing the last 2 times I turned on 93.9
I like it! It reminds me of the good ol' days at like 2AM on a Friday, driving some place.

Fuck you WLLZ and every decision maker there.
The more they try to compete by copying CSX, the more they'll fail.
Why would someone bother to change their station just to hear the exact same songs as the one they already have on and like
Thats the entire problem. The came on the scene promising to be "A new generation of Classic Rock". The formula for success is simple: play kick ass rock and roll tunes from the 80's and 90 with a few early 2000's thrown in the mix. Leave Bob fucking Seger, the Rolling Stones and Queen on the shelf please.
Last 2 times I tuned in, Jimi Hendrix was playing
So here is the problem:
While flipping through I caught the DJ on WLLZ introducing Van Halen's "Poundcake" as a "deep cut". Now, I'll give them credit for playing it, which they should, but for the love of god that fucking song reached #1 on the US Billboard album rock tracks. Most Van Halen fans love that song. Its not a fucking "deep cut". "Poundcake" at the absolute very least should be on their playlist. Same with "Runaround". I'm not saying heavy rotation or anything but songs like that are what they SHOULD be playing.

Completely agree. When Eddie passed a few years back, SXM had a tribute channel on for approximately a week or so. They were playing those 2 tunes plus “Don’t tell me what love can do”, songs that I don’t hear on classic rock stations. It’s like why don’t I hear these songs on the radio that much?

The Sammy era always gets the shaft. Four #1 albums and countless rock radio hits. But let's do Hot For Teacher again. A VH deep cut would be Summer Nights or The Dream Is Over. But, like you said, good on them for playing it. You could play almost any song from any VH album and it would go over well.

Agree with u guys on the VH......wont get started on what Wheelz should be adding.

But untill the iheart corp. playlist is revamped to a more local flavour Wheelz will be a disappointment for Detroit rock listeners.

All were getting is The D 2.0 or should it be 3.0.

Give the helm to the Doc...with his experience its a no brainer and fire Casey.

I believe this format is just a place holder untill the next genius at iheart gets the next idea.

Hey Wheellz bring back the original logo .......

So long as the station refuses to make a meaningful investment in morning drive, it'll never be more than an also-ran.

Why is WOMC's playlist down to like 50 songs?
It's terrible. And Aricka is now hosting a fake request hour.

This is why they are not in the top 3 like they used to be

This pisses me off to no end. Hagar-era Van Halen always gets me to crank up the volume. Why is it being ignored? I’d rather hear him than Dave.
