Something is missing from WHNE

Looks like the new ownership has removed the Drive-In Theater channel from the lineup.

Boooo! Hiss! That sucks.

Also gone are Rev'n, the backroads travel channel (or whatever the heck it was called), and Get TV. The first two stunk. Get TV, of course is now available via WPXD, but the picture quality looked much better on WHNE.

The sister network of NewsNet, called SportsNews Highlights, has been added.

I thought Rev'n moved to 3.1. At least that's where it was listed on one of the guide channels.

TheGrio is still found at 3.1.

True Crime Network by Oxygen now airs on 18.3.

TruReal on 31.5 seems to have undergone a major programming shift. Stupid "reality" shows have been scaled back. Programming is now much more varied. Some decent movies can be found at times on this network now.

True Crime Network by Oxygen now airs on 18.3.

Tegna owns True Crime, and sources most of its programs from the Turner Networks, with some from other sources and a few originals; not to be confused with the Oxygen channel on cable, which these days is known as "Oxygen True Crime".

And in a normal business, the line up, website, sm announcement and channel guide would have been changed within hours of the actual reshuffling. It all takes the same amount of time to update, the difference is having management who thinks things through.

OTA media too often does such a tremendously poor job with execution these days when the job could be done to a even a mediocre standard with just a bit of effort. When you're a broadcaster, your efforts are instantly subject to public scrutiny. If a broadcaster conducts poor execution in presenting or advertising their programming, they will be talked about.

Another "something missing" from WHNE is an AUDIO QUALITY CHECK. The audio has been noticeably louder on the right channel on 3.9 for a bit now, but the last day or two there's also a lot of distortion.

The audio on 3.9 still sounds like crap. Does anyone ever watch this channel? Are there any employees at WHNE that watch their own channels???

Prolly not. They likely all have cable, satellite or streaming and never watch free OTA television.
