Why does Bernie Smilovitz' hackneyed sportscasts seeming escape criticism ? Yes,he seems a good dude,but Smilovitz,who must be close to my age (sixty-five) will have been on WDIV throughout SIX DECADES (70's,80's,90's,00's,10's,20's) should he hit the airwaves on and after Jan. 1,2020. Like Valenti-who re-affirmed his jerk status by calling admittedly disappointing Lions DT Nick Fairley "trash" during the five o'clock hour-Smilovitz returned to his home state ,New York for an audition at a station,and like the Studio Gangsta,was kicked back to Detroit. Guess New Yorkers don't find slightly updated interations of decades-long schtick funny . Anyway,thought you lads might have some opinions about Bernie the (nearly senior citizen) Blooper Boy .
