CKLW FM 94 in 1994 as Rock n’ Roll Oldies
CKLW FM 94 in 1994 as Rock n’ Roll Oldies
Does anyone remember this short lived format at 93.9 apparently it was known as a format called Arrow ,which stood for All Rock n’ Roll Oldies it had a Classic Rock lean to it .I myself do remember it I guess at the time they could try to get some of CSX’s ratings but they weren’t doing this very long shortly after that 93.9 became The River. This Arrow format was in other markets L.A. had one at 93.1 which at the time was a CBS station I do believe.

after the failed attempt to re-capture the Big 8 on 93.9, CKLW FM went to "Rock and Roll Oldies"
The sweepers were something like this "A little of the 60's and 80's and a lot from the 70's"
with 97.1 playing all 70s music it never really took off, the music mix was good but repetitive after a while
within a year they turned it into "The River"

The only thing I remember about that station was it was hard to pick up on my Walkman.
