RadioKev. next time you are able to null out CKLW, see if you can pull PJB, Transworld Radio from Bonaire. I have heard it a couple times. The second time, after they changed their beam to south is when I was able to receive CJBQ.

From RadioKev's location in Shelby township (almost directly north of CKLW), I'm assuming he's nulling out CKLW by turning his antenna away from the south direction. If that's true, wouldn't it also null out PJB?

I live in Livonia (west-ish of CKLW), so if I null out CKLW, it means I am turning my antenna away from the east direction, and toward the south, allowing me to receive PJB.

Right?

The 160 Meter Amateur band is also considered MW, and last night I had very good reports in contacts with IL, DE, KY and KS.
Transmitting on 1813.5 kHz, with 95 W to a halfwave dipole at 35 ft.

The only time I've ever heard the Belville station was about six years ago, when CKLW shut down one night for maintenance.

Years ago I lived up in one of the northern Lake Huron counties of Ontario. CKLW was like a blowtorch up there day and night. But sometimes, in the winter, just before sunrise, its signal was competing with that of Trans World Radio.

What I usually hear under WWJ is either Charleston WV or Habana Cuba, the latter very distinctive with its "di-dah-dit, di-dah-dit every minute (The signature of Radio Reloj, being "RR" in Morse code).

I've also heard Spartanburg and Altona on the channel, not to mention Barrie, ON, which switched to FM decades ago.

In the early spring, I'm often hearing a station signing on with a traditional brass band Star Spangled Banner about 15 to 30 minutes before SE Michigan sunrise.

Zenith, I am in Livonia also. The second time I heard PB the radio was aimed east/west. PJB was at times stepping over CK. After CK signed off that morning I was able to listen to PBJ clearly until they switched their DA and that is when i heard Belleville. RadioKev. I have heard something interfering with WWJ in the past in the early morning while they were on their night DA. Once in downtown Detroit I did receive the Charleston station instead of WWJ. The main Mexico station I used to get in Detroit was XEG from Monterey.

When I was at Ft Bliss, in the Army (El Paso) I could hear XELO 800 on a toaster ! It was that strong.
I found the tower site recently, on Google Earth and it was a good 10 or 15 miles from El Paso's downtown area.
