I always feel for Alex The Producer when Ron probably hands him a piece of paper with a prospective guest's phone number scribbled on it...Alex: "Ron? Are you sure the number is 867-5309?!"

Perhaps Ron should go to Windsor and interview Cowboy, since I hear he's called Cameron's various shows for close to 40 years.(Of course, since Cowboy's just 64,he's about a generation too young for Ron!!!!)

Yeah,briangoleb.According to Ron,he'll have an announcement on Saturday's show.(Dr. Terry Dischinger,a 1960's-era Piston and later a Portland,Ore.,dentist,was Ron's Sunday guest.)

About three months ago, Ron was talking about his next restaurant was gonna be down in Detroit so he could be "closer to the games". He has recently changed his tune to the "any port in the storm", and now it's become a Livonia location, and the starving public is still waiting with bated breath for the "official" announcement.

I am not sure where he gets the money to open these places, but I do know he never has enough money to keep them open. Ron Cameron restaurant ventures are usually closed within a couple months of the "grand opening"! I remember he took over some deli in Northville, and it was out-of-business within a couple months, as well, in spite of Ron proclaiming his customer base included Ken Holland AND Drew Stanton?!?!

I remember years ago when he first opened that hamburger place on the east side of Telegraph in Dearborn Heights, didn't last too long.

I tuned into Ron’s 9am show this past Friday (the day after Thanksgiving) on WCXI, and he didn’t answer the bell! In all my years of listening to this guy (I know...a guilty pleasure), I’ve never heard him miss a show! I have heard him hack, wheeze, sneeze and yawn through shows (I even remember him literally “phoning one in” when his chariot broke down!), but can’t recall him ever missing one. Obviously not a big deal in the grand scheme, but he always gets on to “read those ads”!

Hall Of Fame WR Raymond Berry was supposed to be Cameron's guest Saturday, but bailed.Since Berry,86,is in Ronnie's demographic, you wonder what happened.(Mark Wilson was on both hours Sunday.)

The Ron Cameron weekly train wreck(s) is/are one of my great guilty pleasures. I know Ron is computer illiterate, but I’m thankful for the podcasts!

uncleb67,Ron's probably close to illiterate, period,as he has a ninth-grade education.(In Detroit's crappy schools-even then, they were bad-which is about a third-grade education here in Windsor.) By the way, could anyone who's met Ronnie Baby describe his appearance?(Likely not physically appealing,I'll wager!!!!)
