A couple years ago, he had Paul Foytak, pitcher for the Tigers whose best years were 60 years ago, as a guest! How did he find or come up with him?

To answer the statement, Ron Cameron in One Word.... WHY

Another bizarre thing he is always talking about opening these restaurants, that when they do actually open...close within months! Always in weird areas and bizarre strip-malls, with no rhyme or reason. Currently, on his shows, he's teasing an announcement "coming soon" for his next eatery, something I'm sure no one is waiting for!

He had Foytack on because ol' Paul meets Ronnie's main criterion-being (at least) an octogenarian.(Foytack's 85,I think,as is Joe Schmidt, who was on a few weeks ago.Had Cameron gotten to former Minneapolis Lakers coach John Kundla, who died last week at 101,I'm sure Tubby would have had him as a guest!!!!!)

The last restaurant was supposed to open in the food court in Laurel Park Place mall in Livonia about a year ago. That food court is an absolute barren wasteland. Ron's "Home Run Pizza" wasn't gonna be a draw, but it never got off the ground, and Ron claimed it was those "fat cats" in Livonia that kept him from opening!

It has been about a year since I last listened to his program. He had a cold and there was a lot of coughing going on. His live reads for his advertisers are torture to listen to. Many are for restaurants, which I imagine are paid for with a hot meal.

All in all, he's not much worse than half the "talent" on 97.1. Which isn't saying much.

Majik,50 years ago, when I was 14,Cameron-whose on-air career began in 1971-and ALMOST ALL THE REST OF TODAY'S SO-CALLED "TALENT" WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN PERMITTED TO BE A BOYS' ROOM ATTENDANT AT MOST RADIO STTIONS!!!

I remember one show recently, where Ted Kulfan, the beat writer for the Red Wings for the Detroit News, was Ron's guest. As Ron finished his commercial reads for various restaurants, auto service places and "vape shops" (Ron's new go-to advertiser), Kulfan was like "Where do you get these advertisers?!??" Cameron replied "They pay!" So, as long as the checks clears, it's all good!

He and Ron could've talked about the restaurant business together!

I'll give Ron a lot of credit for one thing - he's an encyclopedia when it comes to baseball.
C'mon iHeartRadio - do the RIGHT thing for once! Please cancel "Rover's Morning Glory" from WBFX in Grand Rapids.

Ron's a walking baseball encyclopedia, but Cowboy in Windsor has knowledge of LOTS of things, yet he can't get a sports talk show,or talk show of ANY kind!!!(Then again, with his boyish good looks, even at 64,he should be on TV!!!)

A coupla months ago, former Red Wing John Ogrodnick stiffed Ron on his show, not once, but twice, on back-to-back weekends. Ron must not have the "juice" from his "SuperFan" days!

Maybe John Ogrodnick couldn't find Ron at 1400,the Patriot, orjust didn't want to go on a reactionary radio station.(Ogrodnick, like Yours Truly,is a good Canadian lad.)
