Fox 2 News
Re: Fox 2 News
I agree with Ermani on the ballot thing. I don't ever recall having to declare which ballot I wanted in the past, as there was only one ballot.
But as long as we're on Fox2 stuff... the "weatherboys" have completely jumped the shark. Can't watch either of them anymore. I've seen some of their other specials and, while silly, I was able to tolerate them. No more. When they come on, I'm turning the channel.

Can't believe they actually wore those t-shirts either.

Re: Fox 2 News
When there was only one ballot, with each party's slate carried on it, people who didn't/don't understand how party primaries work were splitting tickets, which invalidated that voters ballot.
Re: Fox 2 News
What's funny is that the nuts from both sides were accusing him of voting for the other guy.
Re: Fox 2 News
Exactly.
All the GOP was in one column. All the Democrats were in another column. And at the top of the ballot it said in big bold letters you can only vote in one column. Like SolarMax says, too many Big Dummies Walking couldn't grasp the concept.
If I remember right, the election workers would remind you too.
Re: Fox 2 News
I bet you some people heard it, processed it and spoiled the ballot right after….Round Six wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2024 7:13 pmExactly.

Donald Trump… In your guts you know he’s nuts.
Re: Fox 2 News
Their ballot probably should have been invalidated, and we should be fine with that. Basically a "Darwinish" test. If you're too stupid to follow some basic directions, then your vote shouldn't count.

I got to thinking about this.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2024 11:40 pm I don't disagree with Ryan on this topic. Especially for members of the news media, having to publicly announce one's party of preference while standing in line can be awkward.
For some reason I don't think I was orally asked this. Or orally replied. I wonder if I checked off one of two boxes when filling out the card. Seems the next table knew which ballot to give me without saying a word.

So why are people grumbling everyone in line is going to hear their choice?dial-it-in wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2024 10:12 pmI specifically remember checking a box as to which ballot I wanted.Round Six wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2024 9:42 pmI got to thinking about this.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2024 11:40 pm I don't disagree with Ryan on this topic. Because it makes for a better discussion point. I mean SOMEONE is gonna know your choice otherwise they couldn’t give you the right ballot…Round Six wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2024 10:44 pmSo why are people grumbling everyone in line is going to hear their choice?dial-it-in wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2024 10:12 pmI specifically remember checking a box as to which ballot I wanted.Round Six wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2024 9:42 pmI got to thinking about this.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2024 11:40 pm I don't disagree with Ryan on this topic. Would you care to expound on how Research/Recognizably works. If this is some sort of likeability study, I'm particularly interested in how often a station does this for each individual.Newsman123 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2024 8:19 pm charlie langton is THE most popular and well known reporter in the market. Research/recognizability on him is through the roof.
Thanks.

Stations do research and focus groups on their top talent to determine likability and how well known they are with viewers or listeners. Its often how talent is picked and retained.
