I heard Cowboy on Ben Maller, too, referencing his nephew's and buddy's birthday,as well as former WWE superstar Tito Santana's birthday, and his uncle's long-ago passing. (Of course,I'll be accused of BEING Cowboy,but......)

You are accused of being Cowboy because you are Cowboy. No one else talks about him like you do.

fuzzpower,I'm accused of being Cowboy because you've heard Cowboy on the radio and somehow believe he is a Buzzboard contributor under different aliases, which isn't at all true.

Yes, and it needs Cowboy at the helm!

J/K 105.1 tried and failed. The answer is no.
I think we can all agree that 105.1 had horrible management. Hell they didn’t have a local morning show until three months before they went off the air. This city needs another sports station. Until they get one though I will continue listening to podcasts and SiriusXM

105.1 was beyond a train wreck, after Drew Lane left that was the nail in the coffin right there. I don't see The D getting another sports station on the FM side of the dial. It's too late for The Fan to go to 106.7, that ship has sailed.

I-Heart Media, I ask you to please bring back 106.7 The D, but without Journey,Eddie money, or Styx. ALT 106.7 sucks ass!

Frank Booth, just my opinion,so take it for what it is or isn't worth,but.....is there such a dearth of sports talk show host talent in Detroit that the same oldies but goodies get re-cycled like pop bottles ? Our boy Ron Cameron has been in this market since NINETEEN-SEVENTY,FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE!!!!

It seems that way, When Drew parted with WMGC, that basically killed the station. They kind of put there eggs in one basket, thinking they were going to get all the drew and mike fans. They concentrated on that and just ran ESPN feed the rest of the day.

It's hard to believe there's so little new talent in Detroit that can be summoned to staff a new sports talk station .

J-Ten go to 1400 the patriot website. Click on Ron Cameron's podcasts (Saturday's) and then click on 6/10 1st hour. I'm surprised they didn't cut Cowboy off since he was rambling on about this knucklehead but I guess it just goes to show how much clout Cowboy has on Ron's show. Kind of like a good customer in a restaurant that eats there all the time in his own private booth and spends a lot of $$. It was probably someone trying to pretend he was Rob Otto-- kind of like Bruce Wayne/Batman ---- handsomeBB / Cowboy-----there are some similarities here but Handsome and Cowboy run in some of the same circles over there in Windsor. Perhaps they are related or something.....HandsomeBB seems to be a good chap.

Thanks,80ssports ,though like my boxer/lumberjack ( bet you didn't know there were black lumberjacks ) father ,who Jan .20 ,1968 ,the night of the storied Houston Cougars (Elvin Hayes and Co. ) vs. UCLA ( Lew Alcindor ,now Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and the boys ) game ,punched out a 17-years-younger,80-pounds heavier racist tormentor , I don't suffer fools gladly. ( Remember that Sinatra standard , " Swinging On A Star ," one of whose lyrics read "All the monkeys aren't in the zoo/ Every day you meet quite a few ? " Well ,your Ape-In-Chief is celebrating his 72 nd birthday today. Though Marilyn Monroe's looks were ONE THOUSAND TIMES better than mine, as she sang to JFK, Happy Birthday,Mr. President !!!!!)

Good job there, Brady (Cowboy?). Never pass up an opportunity to play that race card.

That was not a Sinatra standard, that was a Bing Crosby standard, introducing us to a very very young Andy Williams.

Drew Lane is a homophobic racist who knew nothing about sports. Referring to somebody as "John Travolta's butt buddy" is way out of line. Good riddance. Is any wonder nobody has hired him?

Sipowicz,Lane appeals to the low-IQ "bro" crowd which confuses snark-the dummy's version of wit-for the genuine article. "Bros" are generally 18-35-year-old white males who probably live in their parents' basement, play Fortnite most of the day, get sloshed and seek the usual suspects to deprecate.

As opposed to senior citizens who hoard and carry on online conversations amongst their 4 online personalities? Six of one, half dozen of the other.
