You do all know, that with WTVS having to move from Channel 43 to Channel 20, that WHNE will have to move - in this case to Channel 3, in the winter of 2020?

Your cute little antennas won't work at channel 3. You'll need a traditional antenna, with long elements perpendicular to the boom.

Or you could make your own channel 3 antenna from two 4' long wires.

They could very well be adding radio stations as audio streams also, just not sure who they'd add.

WHNE is being very ambitious and hope it works out for them. It is nice they were able to add GetTV to their line up. Decades probably wants to join a station where they have a chance of being added to the cable line up for the area as well. But other than Decades there are not many high end sub-channels available. RetroTV has lost most of their better programs to other subchannels, I pretty much only watch classic Doctor Who, and maybe an occasional movie. Light, HSN, the Bob, and Son of Life are all hidden on my TVs so I don't even see them when channel flipping. Even though I don't speak any Spanish I enjoyed when they had LATV, I watched some of the Lucha Libre Wrestling on the weekends.

I do worry about when they switch to Channel 3, I have a good antenna that picks up Hi-VHF, not sure how well it will pick up Low-VHF.

WHNE on their facebook is asking viewers that want Decades back to message Decades on there Facebook and request them to come to a new blank channel that now exists on WHNE......if you want Decades back plz do it, the more the better.I just did it myself.

Decades should at least have WHNE 14.8 as a temporary affiliate until they can find a full power station

You may not have to worry to much if the station utilized the atsc3 format the signal will be better indoors so it should have more punch to it.

Re: WHNE adding more channels: 14.9 to be NewsNet

I've stumbled across this site, which indicates that the upstart NewsNet will be on 14.9 in Detroit:

Perhaps there will soon be a test pattern or teaser loop running?

Cheers!

CBN's upcoming OTA news network has also listed WHNE as one of their charter affiliates.

My furthest DTV tropo: KDKA Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at 202 miles for three days in January 2017 and a night in September 2017 with only an Antennas Direct C2V!

Current setup: Antennas Direct C2Max (2018-present)

Isn't CBN's news channel already on 19.7?

And what is Quest doing back on 19.1?

CBN News is not the same thing as NewsNet.

I'm still seeing an annoying white dashed line at the top of the screen when tuned to Light TV, 14.1.

And now, the same annoying white dashed line appears at the top of the screen on Retro, 14.7. Ugggggggh!!!

Size aspect ratio on Light TV is messed up, too. There should be no black letter boxes at the top or bottom. The picture looks as if someone stomped on it.
