If Nash is gunning exclusively for Women 25-54 and doesn't give a rat's ass about male listeners - the station sounds OK outside of morning drive.

Personally, I find the current sound of the station completely off-putting. It sounds too feminine. I absolutely hate the imaging voiceovers. They sound weak and sleepy. They need to ditch the low-energy, monotone voiced schmuck they are using now and switch to someone good.

WYCD has its faults, too. Why the f*ck do they still play that awful 'House Party" song by Sam Hunt?!?!

For WCSX to still have mid 6's is pretty remarkable. They are performing as good or better now than when 106.7 The D was doing Classic Rock.

Imagine how terrible WJR's 25-54 numbers must be! I bet they are sub-2 share.

Here’s an interesting factoid, Beasley is trying for a 30 percent market share in Detroit but yet Beasley keeps two of the worst radio personalities on their top station in the market, Honestly WCSX is truly unlistenable between 3PM and Midnight because of Dahmer and J.T. for a company like Beasley to obtain another FM signal in Detroit, I just hope this company does something to correct the WCSX issue before they lose their top station if not you will lose your 30 percent market share it will be meaningless.

Does anyone here actually listen to MIX?
I should check it out.

The last time I tuned in was when they were doing the All Motown Christmas last December, so I have no idea what they sound like normally.
But I don't like hearing All R&B.
A reason why I disliked The Breeze during January and February.
I'm glad they toned that stuff down.

Music is my life.

I've always preferred 105.9 for Urban AC programming.

I always thought 105.9 was a much better station as well.

Wow - just a few short days after I bitch about how lame & lifeless 93.1's voiceover guy sounds, I randomly heard a V/O cut for some sort of concert ticket giveaway from a different V/O guy than the usual one.

Sounds somewhat like former Grand Rapids radio personality Dave Justus (who worked at WGRD and WVTI years ago); not sure if that's who it is or not.

It's a definite upgrade from the prior stuff, but still sounds a bit bush league compared to WYCD's well produced imaging. My guess is the new guy's work will be infused slowly into rotation.

By the way, calling the station "The D's Nash FM 93-1" is cute, but the listeners aren't stupid!!! If you really want to inject Detroit-centric themes into the station's branding, how about starting with a 100% LOCAL morning show?

The fact that an all news AM stomped WJR is a testament to how awful Cume-U-Less is at radio. Every single station of theirs I've heard plain sucks, not just bad programming either, but pisspoor engineering as well. Also, WJR has had the worst lineup it's ever had since I have been alive. But seeing who owns it, that is no surprise.

Someone local should buy it, flip it to live/local oldies-classic hits, shitcan the IBOC and go back to C-QuAM or just decent analog mono. Heck, you could probably get it for a few million if you had the cash in hand! I'd probably listen more to WJR if they simulcast WWV's time signals! I bet Ed stirs in his grave how awful that station sounds now. WJR was always a nice sounding station on AM, until the Cumulonimbus rolled in.

Not only does WJR lose listeners by attrition, but there are some GOP voters whom have come to realize they've been spun and are turning the hate off. Not as many as I would hope, but it's happening. Personally, IMO both parties can shove it. I'll let that go...
